Designed by Open Space Creative primarily to raise awareness of Wales to change perceptions and present Wales as a leading adventure destination during 2016 in the context of Euro 2016. The stand featured a shipping container fitted with internal graphics, a monitor wall and exterior attractions and activities which resulted in over 94,000 visitors to the stand over a three week period.
The initial start of the project was hampered by the site being flooded but Open Space Creative worked in conjunction with the show organiser to relocate to a new site and provide a rapid interior install. We also supplied French speaking staff with a strong understanding of activity sports and destinations available in Wales.
“Your construction crew were excellent and everything was delivered according to schedule and to a professional standard. Do please pass on my regards and thanks to each of them.”
Working both in the UK and overseas within marquee interiors, Open Space Creative delivered a four year event campaign for Visitscotland promoting Scotland as the Home of Golf. Our contract also included stand design and build at the International Golf Travel Market which was hosted in Valencia, Spain, Antalya in Turkey and Algarve in Portugal.
The campaign concluded with the design and build of the Visit Scotland pavilion at the prestigious Ryder Cup event at Gleneagles which included the interior and exterior design of an eight hundred square metre marquee.
Having never hosted an event of this size and content, Scottish Government looked to Open Space Creative to develop ideas and implement the complete event. The St Andrew's day event called “St Andrew's Do” was a celebration of Scottish culture that included food & drink, family entertainment and tourism attractions.
With Open Space Creative’s input the event was a roaring success and Sky television in their New Year review highlighted it as one of the “must see” events of the year.
“We just received a message that Sky news are showcasing the event as one of the must-see events of the year – thank you!”
Royal Welsh, Builth Wells, National Eisteddfod Cardiff (voted best commercial trade stand)
Open Space Creative Ltd was appointed by Cardiff County Council to design and deliver similar trade stands at The Royal Welsh and the National Eisteddfod in Cardiff. The stands incorporated a 100 square metre silver award winning garden from the Chelsea Flower Show that year and also included a double decker marquee structure that had a hospitality balcony that overlooked the show garden.
At the National Eisteddfod the trade stand also incorporated a synthetic ice rink, which was open to the public to use. Within the trade area two rally cars were put on display to showcase the fact that Cardiff was the start of the Welsh Rally and within the lower floor of the double decker structure a Cardiff visitor’s information centre was created. The Royal Welsh stand received the coveted “Best Commercial Trade Stand” at the show.
